Moonview

Moonview is the first jazz piece I have composed. I was heavily inspired by jazz ballads and their relaxed yet upbeat nature. I aimed to include different tempo markings and rhythm groupings to give the piece its own sense of motion. I have also reflected the typical AABA form within this piece. I wanted the piece to elicit a calm mood and portray the imagery of a late-night drive on the highway, with no destination in mind.
