A Sombre Waltz

A Sombre Waltz is a piece written for solo piano that tells the story of a young female ghost who is stuck reminiscing on the past. The heavy chromaticism displayed throughout the piece creates an unnerving and melancholic feel. Section A depicts the young ghost gloomily roaming the hallways of her palace, reflecting on past trauma. However, section B carries quite a bit of change as the ghost discovers the ballroom and breaks into a waltz.
